Since setting up our renovated Speed Queen machines in Alexandria back in May 2018, the biggest laundry mistake we see isn't the cycle temp—it's over-soaping. Pouring extra detergent doesn't make clothes cleaner. It actually leaves residue trapped right in the fabric fibers.
Here is how to get that true fresh-off-the-shelf fluff & fold result every single time:
• Scale back your detergent preferences: High-efficiency tubs only need two tablespoons of liquid soap to lift tough stains.
• Select the right wash temp: Stick to cold water for daily brights and warm water for heavy bedsheets or bath towels.
• Respect the drum space: Leave breathing room at the top so water flows freely around every item.
If you would rather skip the guesswork entirely, just bag it up and bring it to our drop-off counter! We offer Next Day Wash & Fold at $1.25 per lb (10 lb minimum charge) and express Same Day Wash & Fold at $1.75 per lb. Drop by, trust the local spot, and let us handle your weekly laundry hassle.
What detergent preference do you usually stick with for your weekly laundry?
